New Year Attacks

The first was ISIS-inspired, the second was "a warning"

As it turns out, one attack was ISIS inspired and the second was a message to America. First we will look at the New Orleans terror attack and second the explosion in front Of the Las Vegas Trump Tower.

The attack

In the early hours of New Years Day, a U.S. Army veteran and Texas native, Shamsud Din Jabbar, flying an ISIS flag from the tailgate of his truck, swerved around makeshift barriers and plowed into New Orleans' fabled French Quarter, crowded with New Year's revelers.

The terror suspect in the New Orleans rampage that killed 15 people and injured dozens more, reportedly used materials to make explosives that have never been used in a U.S. attack. The extremely rare explosive compound had never been seen before in any incidents in the U.S. or Europe.

Jabbar planned to detonate two explosives that he had placed on Bourbon Street, FBI and ATF officials said in a joint statement Friday. He intended to use a transmitter, which was found in his vehicle, to ignite the bombs but his rampage was ended in a gunfight with authorities.

It’s not immediately clear how or where he learned to make such an explosive device. It’s yet another question for the FBI, which is also reportedly looking into Jabbar’s travel, including a trip to Egypt.

New Orleans police said that three officers had fired at the attacker, and two officers were wounded in the exchange of gunfire, but will be OK.

According to the NY Post and Fox News, he had a stolen Glock and a .308 rifle with him. The explosive devices, which were concealed within coolers, were wired for remote detonation, and a remote control detonator was discovered inside the vehicle.

The pickup truck used in the New Orleans attack was rented via Turo, an app that connects drivers, known as “guests,” with vehicle owners, known as “hosts,” according to Steve Webb, the company’s vice president of communications.

The Attacker

The wanna-be bomber in the New Orleans truck attack was American-born, Texas-raised, Shamsud-Din Jabbar and served in the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged.

In the hours before the attack, he posted five Facebook videos from about 1:30 a.m. to just after 3 a.m., in which he says he joined ISIS before this summer

A close friend of says Jabbar converted to Islam and began acting erratically in recent months. This behavior caused him to have "limited contact" with his children.

By his looks, Jabbar appears to be mixed-race, an African-American-Middle Eastern mix, So far, Isis hasn’t made a public statement taking credit for attack.

New Year Attacks

After his separation from the Army, Jabbar was employed by Ernst and Young in London, and subsequently joined Deloitte in Houston (TX) as a “senior solutions specialist” making about $125,000 per year, according to court records.

Jabbar then became a real-estate broker, and according to the Texas Secretary of State search, Jabbar forfeited the LLC license in 2023. He had been experiencing difficulties with wives and divorces. Jabbar described his financial struggles with his home at risk of foreclosure due to $27,000 in late payments. He also mentioned $16,000 in credit card debt. Records show that the New Orleans terrorist donated to the Democratic Party using ActBlue.

Officers have closed off a road leading to a Houston residence that records indicate was a recent address of the suspect. The white single-wide mobile home was behind a gate and in a small neighborhood where goats and ducks were roaming the grass.

Now, this should shock you. Within hours of Jabbar's attack, a New Orleans reporter provides us with a guided tour of what most law enforcement officials would describe as "an active crime scene."

Does this sound like the FBI we all know and love? We still don't know what Thomas Matthew Crooks' three encrypted European accounts are all about, but hours after the attack, the cute reporter wanders freely through his home without a law enforcement official in sight.

CNN reports that in a series of videos posted on Jabbar’s Facebook page Wednesday between 1:29 AM and 3:02 AM, the man responsible for the deadly New Year’s attack in New Orleans discussed planning to kill his family and having dreams that helped inspire him to join ISIS, according to multiple officials briefed on the investigation.

Jabbar, who stated he had joined ISIS before this summer, made reference in the videos to his divorce and how he had at first planned to gather his family for a “celebration” with the intention of killing them, two officials who had been briefed on the recordings said, but Jabbar said in the videos he changed his plans because he wanted news headlines to focus on the “war between the believers and the disbelievers.”

Jabbar had divorced twice, court documents show. His first wife sued him in 2012 over child support soon after he filed for divorce, and the court ordered him to pay amounts that increased over the years as his income grew. The case was dismissed in 2022.

In 2020, a Texas judge granted Jabbar’s second wife a restraining order against him during their divorce case. The order mandated Jabbar to refrain from threats, physical harm, or other stipulated behavior against his ex-wife and either of their children. It required her to avoid the same behavior. In a court filing, Jabbar’s ex-wife stated the marriage had become “insupportable because of discord or a conflict of personalities.”

This guys life was falling apart and he had a need to share.

Officials respond

At an announcement immediately after the attack the New Orleans Police Chief, Anne Kirkpatrick, an elderly female that closely resembles "Granny" from the Beverly Hillbillies," lied, saying she was not aware there were no bollard barriers in place that would have prevented the attack at the entrance to the street, but only a patrol car across its entrance, which Jabbar easily drove around by driving up the sidewalk.

“All barriers were in place, but the terrorist got around them”.

According to this article from the Washington Post, the street barriers were taken down in November for “overhaul” before February’s Super Bowl game, and were not reinstalled by the holidays.

Before being hired in New Orleans. Kirkpatrick was the head of the police department in Oakland (CA). While there, she ran over two people in her car in August. She was fired and later sued Oakland for wrongful termination and got a $1.5 million settlement.

After the attack, like a good little diversity-hire, she explains what should have happened.

Alethea Duncan, an assistant special agent in charge of New Orleans, and who showed her allegiance to DEI by wearing an FBI-banned nose ring, said the individual who drove over dozens of people in a truck containing IEDs, exchanged gunfire with police, and was flying an ISIS flag on his truck, was not a terrorist.

The fact that the FBI started by lying about the New Orleans attack shouldn’t shock anyone at this point:

“This is not a terrorist event…”

Christopher Raia, deputy assistant director of the FBI’s counter terrorism division, said at a briefing, that in a series of Facebook videos posted shortly before the attack that he had originally planned to hurt his family and friends but pivoted when he grew concerned that news headlines would not focus on the “war between the believers and the disbelievers.”

“This was an act of terrorism. It was premeditated and an evil act. He was 100% inspired by ISIS.”

Joe Biden wasn't available for comment. He's off on another taxpayer-funded vacation in the Virgin Islands.

Now for the Las Vegas Trump Tower attack

This was not an intentional or conventional terrorist attack, according to the bomber, Green Beret, Matthew Livelsberger. It wads a "wakeup call."

"This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence."

The Green Beret who shot himself seconds before the Tesla Cybertruck he rented went up in a fiery explosion outside Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day referred to the event as “a wake up call” and effort to rid himself of the “burden” of the lives he took in combat. He also advocated a Jan. 6-like takeover of federal buildings and the ouster of Democrats from government and the military.

Matthew Livelsberger wrote on one of two iPhones retrieved from the vehicle, in what police call two letters and a journal detailing his preparations in the 10 days leading up to his suicide.

“Fellow Service members, Veterans and all Americans, TIME TO WAKE UP! We are being led by weak and feckless leadership who only serve to enrich themselves.”

“Try peaceful means first, but be prepared to fight to get the Dems out of the fed government and military by any means necessary. They all must go and a hard reset must occur for our country to avoid collapse.”

Metro’s release of the text following the news conference revealed Livelsberger’s messaging spiraled into a rant urging militia to line streets and converge on federal buildings.

“We are the United States of America, the best country people to ever exist! But right now we are terminally ill and headed towards collapse,” reads a second entry. “This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives? Why did I personally do it now? I needed to cleanse my mind of the brothers I’ve lost, and relieve myself of the burden of the lives I took.”

“We are also aware that there were potential other family issues or personal grievances in his own life that may have been contributing factors,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans told reporters.

He added that law enforcement learned through interviews that Livelsberger suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and had “no animosity toward the president-elect.” He urged the nation to rally around Trump and Elon Musk, and called for a negotiated settlement in Ukraine.

“Focus on strength and winning. Masculinity is good and men must be leaders. Strength is a deterrent and fear is the product,” he wrote.

“Stop obsessing over diversity. We are all diverse and DEI is a cancer. Thankfully we rejected the DEI candidate and will have a real President instead of Weekend at Bernie’s.”

Authorities have found no definitive connection between Livelsberger and the perpetrator of the Bourbon St. massacre.

A sign of the times

Forty years ago, people also suffered severe bouts of depression over the holidays, accounting for murder-suicides and suicides, but they kept their horror private. Today, we have social media where everybody can become a star and receive overnight, world-wide attention. This goes for the mass shooters as well. Everybody wants to be noticed.

The days are long-gone when a man could go out to the garage with a length of hose and a bottle of whiskey for to leave this mortal coil.

There's one thing we can be sure of. The media will obsess on Livelsberger, the white, domestic terrorists, who killed no one, while quickly allowing Jabbar to fade into irrelevance. Just watch!
