Everything that the Democrats are doing and will do is driven by November's election -- everything -- and so to is with the Hunter Biden trial which provides cloud cover for Joe Biden and ammunition for the Democrats’ ongoing lawfare against Trump

Hunter Biden is all smiles

There were two big stories last week. The Hunter Biden trial -- which we were expecting, and Attorney General Garland being held in contempt by the House -- which we were not expecting.

The Hunter Biden trial was a sham. It’s a smoke screen to legitimize the Trump conviction and to deflect attention from the Biden family’s actual likely crimes -- selling off our foreign policy to make their family rich. Don’t fall for it.

The Hunter conviction is not a win for the Right. It’s a trifle to give the appearance of justice as the liberal ruling class continues to persecute conservatives -- a politically inexpensive way to justify imprisoning the Republican nominee for president. To create the illusion the DoJ isn't biased and Trump's trail wasn't political

That's the key to it all -- now Democrats can say the Justice system worked. when Donald J. Trump was criminally convicted fairly -- just like Hunter

Don’t forget, the same prosecutors who just convicted Hunter Biden tried to get his case thrown out just last year by offering a “sweetheart” deal. This entire thing was nothing more than political theater.

The plan is to convict Hunter Biden and then to set the sentencing for AFTER the election. They are doing this to try to combat the fact that Americans are accusing Joe Biden of being a dictator who weaponizes the justice system to try to steal the election. Hunter Biden will not receive any punishment for his actions.

Which is exactly the whole point of this sham conviction. Everything is theater. Check out Hunter as he comes walking out of the courtroom He's got a big smile on his face (go full screen).

If you had just been convicted of three felonies -- up to 25 years -- in federal court, would you be smiling? Hell no! A deal was made -- probably several.

But, they had to have the trial after booting it last year when they tried to pull a fast one on a federal judge and a plea deal in Hunter Biden’s criminal case blew up during a court hearing in July, 2023. A federal judge raised concerns about the terms of the agreement between the Justice Department and Hunter's lawyers.

Hunter's attorneys' made an agreement with prosecutors, who were planning to recommend two years of probation for a felony gun charge -- plus every other possible crime Hunter may have ever committed. It would have been the end of the threats against father, Joe, made possible by "the laptop" and its associated crimes.

The language that basically made the whole Hunter case evaporate was buried deep in the case proceedings and the judge found it. She got pissed and it all blew up!

Hunter takes one for the team

So, Hunter Biden had to take one for the team. Undoubtedly, Joe sat Hunter down and explained the facts of life. He was in the middle of a campaign and Obama and the DNC were busting his chops, so Hunter had to take one for the team.

That way there, the voters would be appeased by Hunter Biden being found guilty. It would be off the table. Plus there's the political benefit of tagging it to Trump.

The thing is, we all know that if he’s sentenced, Hunter Biden will most likely get six months in a federal facility made for "special" guests.

This was only done to make it look like "no one is above the law." That's the key. Don't let this crisis go to waste. Hunter is guilty. Trump is guilty. See! The system is fair. Hunter did time -- Trump should do time.

If Hunter does do time, it will be at a federal facility with all the amenities. This is the president's kid. He would need to get a good tennis racket and golf clubs. He will need a complete new casual and lounge-wear wardrobe. He will have special treatment too -- probably smuggle some drugs and hookers in for him.

This conviction is Hunter falling on his sword so Trump can't claim Bidens are allowed to dodge the law in the courtroom. It's a sham. Let's see how many hours Hunter has to spend in jail

Tea and sympathy

CNN says:

It would be devastating for any parent to see a child convicted of a crime. To experience it as president before the eyes of the world, during one of the most contentious reelection campaigns in history, would be unfathomable.

But that is the ordeal now confronting President Joe Biden after his only surviving son Hunter was found guilty on all counts in a trial in Delaware over his possession of a gun while being addicted to drugs.

The jury delivered its verdict Tuesday less than two weeks after presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump learned he had been convicted of all 34 counts in a hush money trial in New York.

The double convictions represent a remarkable departure from traditional presidential campaigns. Never has a former president and presumptive major party nominee been convicted of a crime. Nor has the child of a sitting president. Both Hunter Biden and Trump pleaded not guilty.

Biden said:

“I am the president, but I am also a dad.”

“Jill and I love our son, and we are so proud of the man he is today. So many families who have had loved ones battle addiction understand the feeling of pride seeing someone you love come out the other side and be so strong and resilient in recovery,”

“As I also said last week, I will accept the outcome of this case and will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal. Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that.”

"I'm extremely proud of my son, Hunter. He has overcome an addiction. He's one of the brightest, most decent men I know. And I am satisfied that I'm not going to do anything. I said -- I said I'd abide by the jury decision. I will do that and I will not pardon him."

The Media Narrative

It’s supposed to comfort voters that President Biden’s degenerate middle-aged son Hunter was just convicted of multiple felonies related to illegally obtaining a gun. But if you’re a self-respecting human, the only response is, No, thanks! I don’t eat off the ground.

The news media have naturally teamed up with Democrat leaders to defend the Biden Justice Department’s menial conviction, which is destined for an appeal and ultimately a negligible punishment, if anything. “Democrats openly embrace Hunter Biden guilty verdict,” read an Axios headline Tuesday. The story quoted several Democrat lawmakers repeating the mind-numbing “No one is above the law” song.

The always annoying Harry Sisson gives it away (and my apologies):

CNN says it was an unprecedented two weeks of legal drama that yielded historic convictions of a former president and a sitting president’s son have also produced a clear political takeaway.

The survival of the rule of law in America and untainted justice may depend on the choice voters make in November.

The country’s divergent possible paths under President Joe Biden or presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump were highlighted in the way both men, their families and their political operations reacted to the twin trials and verdicts.

Biden made no effort to interfere in the prosecution of his son Hunter with either his executive authority or with the media megaphone of his office. He allowed his own Justice Department to secure a guilty verdict Tuesday that could result in jail time for the recovering addict and hurt his own 2024 campaign.

The Bidens’ comportment contrasted with Trump’s reaction to his own trial and conviction nearly two weeks ago in his hush money case. The ex-president lashed out at witnesses, prosecutors, jurors and the judge.

Throughout his trial in Manhattan, his former hometown, Trump, insisted he couldn’t get a fair verdict in a city that votes mostly Democratic. But Delaware is a blue state -- and a jury there just convicted the president’s son.

What about the real crimes?

Don't you see? Hunter Biden was allowed to skate on his most severe crimes --  influence peddling, tax evasion, money laundering, conspiracy, failure to register as a foreign agent, human trafficking, bribery, extortion, and sex with children, but he was slammed with some gun possession charges surely to fizzle out on appeal.

Hunter is facing a tax trial in California. He has agreed to plead guilty to two counts of willful failure to pay federal income tax, according to court papers.

He is charged with twice failing to pay over $100,000 in income tax. The amounts stem from over $1.5 million in taxable income Biden received in 2017 and again in 2018, according to the court papers. Those charges are misdemeanor counts. The maximum penalty is a fine of $25,000 as well as up to one year in federal prison. Imprisonment is not mandatory under the charge.

This work has potentially opened him up to more legal jeopardy as the Justice Department reportedly considers whether he violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) — the same law that brought down former Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

There’s more to come from this.

Hunter Biden’s conviction for gun possession is a cleverly orchestrated distraction. It’s meant to make the justice system look balanced while avoiding more serious charges that could implicate “The Big Guy” Joe Biden. This conviction is a smoke screen, a way to keep the focus off the real crimes of the Biden family. It’s unlikely that Hunter will see any serious jail time, which makes Joe Biden’s refusal to pardon him seem meaningless. Hunter, doing a few months, gives Joe lots of ammo.

Hunter Biden also faces pending tax charges in California. These charges involve millions of dollars he didn’t declare from his lobbying and influence-peddling activities. If convicted, these charges could have more severe consequences. However, this won’t come up until September, giving the Biden administration time to spin the narrative.

Which brings us to Merrick Garland, the Attorney General of the United States of America.

What is Biden hiding? Those Biden audio tapes must really be shocking! Garland willing to commit contempt to hide them!

They know if those tapes get out, their whole house of cards and the ruse they've been playing for the last four years becomes completely exposed. Those who have been hiding the truth, exposed with it.

The truth is that the president retains the power to pardon his son, which he pretends he won’t use, because he knows this sham almost certainly won’t go that far (and if it does, he’ll definitely use it). The only reason there was even the smallest of convictions is because a judge refused to be made a mockery of by accepting a plea deal that would have turned her into a joke in every corner of her profession.

The New York Times isn’t even bothering to pretend that Hunter will be sentenced like similar convicts, who typically receive about a year in confinement. “[J]udges frequently depart from the suggested guidelines when handing down a sentence,” the paper said, “and may reduce the time spent in prison in light of the particular circumstances unique to each case.” “Particular circumstances” is code for “the president’s drug addict son meriting political consideration.”

All of those trifling details aside, there is still no comparison to what happened to Hunter and what’s happening to Trump. The former president has been ordered to effectively drain his personal bank account after he was convicted of repaying business loans with interest. Now he’s under threat of being locked up just before he’s formally declared the Republican presidential nominee. Additional criminal prosecutions continue to play out in Washington, Atlanta, and South Florida.

Justice hasn’t been served. It’s temporary cloud cover for Democrats’ ongoing effort to jail their political opposition.

This isn't about Donald Trump anymore.

This is about the Rule of Law.
