The Disinformation Governance Board

The Disinformation Governance Board is a United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) board formed on April 27, 2022 during a 2023 budget hearing before the United States House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security. Its primary responsibility will be to “police” what is deemed to be “misinformation” or “disinformation.”

No clarification has been given as of yet as to what this policing will mean, but it has been pointed out that the creation of this new board is going to have the full strength of the Homeland Security behind it. It is interesting to note, that this "Ministry of Truth" was placed under DHS and not the Federal Communications Commission, implying that their plan has an enforcement component.

The Leadership

The following day, Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, the man responsible for destroying U. S. sovereignty by eliminating the southern border, announced the establishment of the Disinformation Governance Board and described its mission as more effectively combating the threat of disinformation to our homeland and our election.

With those words, one of the most dangerous ideologues in the Biden administration, labeled the citizen's free expression protections as a threat to our elections and to our homeland. It's too bad he doesn't feel the same for those tens of thousands of illegal aliens pouring over the border.

The one thing that you can take to the bank is that this new board will be ambidextrous in its fight again disinformation. Information critical of the Left or its agenda will be suppressed, while information critical of the Right or its agenda will be amplified -- and tagged with the usual slanders.

After an exhaustive background investigation, disinformation expert, Nina Jankowicz, was installed as the nation's first minister of disinformation -- which, somehow, just doesn't sound right -- and her being a "disinformation expert" doesn't feel right either.

During the senate hearing, Mayorkas demonstrated his grasp of his department's workings and the situation -- another small hint that there's a lot happening in the government that the government doesn't have control of.

One day after the bureau was authorized, the secretary was able to announce its executive director, because the new executive director has been working on this scheme for years. Jankowicz conceived of the bureau, its organization and its mission, more than two years ago. It's probably something that popped out of a political-war-gaming exercise. It seemed possible and somebody threw some money at it. Ten-to-one Jankowicz was sitting in her new offices before the bureau was approved and funded.

The Democrats are in a panic about the November election, and they decided to go there -- the nuclear option -- a direct attack on the 1st Amendment, and they chose a woman with Trump Derangement Syndrome to lead. In her movie, the villain is Donald Trump. Jankowicz is obsessed with Trump. He's her Papa Yaga.

Her essay, "Trump Gives Putin an 'A' for Leadership -- Here’s why that’s terrifying," disappeared while I was downloading and editing it. In the body of the short essay, Jankowicz referenced Trump, by name, twelve times, accusing him of all kinds of Putin-ass-kissing. That's gone. It has disappeared from the web archive, but the title and heading graphic remain. If you click the graphic it takes you to a 410 error page that states, "The author deleted this Medium story."

This is who and what this woman is and she is now America's chief censor. She's hiding that essay because it would demonstrate she is a hard-nosed partisan and now, her charter is to manage what is said in America's information space and by whom.

I urge you to read the short concept document for the Ministry of Disinformation. “How to Defeat Disinformation: An Agenda for the Biden Administration” was in Foreign Affairs magazine in November of 2020, just days after Biden's alleged election. It's a piece of work.

Jankowicz spelled out what she believed should be done by the Biden White House, including creating an agency to quash conspiracy theories. She believes disinformation is “an American pathology” that has to be cured and urged the Biden administration to ensure that all levels of the federal government take the threat of disinformation seriously and...

Create a counter-disinformation czar within the National Security Council and set up a corresponding directorate

Monitor the information ecosystem for threats and coordinate inter-agency policy responses

Encourage cooperation and information sharing with the private sector and with civil society groups

Build a more transparent and democratic Internet.

Jankowicz closes with a call to action. She says the Biden administration cannot afford to be complacent or myopic. The U.S. government has already spent four years refusing to address this growing crisis (Trump). Without a serious injection of urgency at the highest levels and an understanding that fighting disinformation starts with good governance, the chaos of the Trump era will prove to be the norm, not the exception.

"Trump," "Trump," "Trump." She's obsessed and intellectually, emotionally and ideologically incapable of being fair and balanced.

The Architect

The guy that's been running the show from DeeCee and "the Vineyard" since January 21, 2021, Barack Obama is back, and if anybody thought that Obama was going to allow his fundamental transformation of the United States to be blunted, they can forget about it.

You can say what you want about Obama, and I did, but he's smart and he's tough, and he sees it all falling apart and knows that his crowd needs to "manage" the narrative or be destroyed in November.

Obama's speech, blaming Big Tech for failing to stop the spread of "disinformation" on their platforms. was delivered on April 21, at Stanford University, six days later Joe Biden appointed radical Millennial Marxist, Nina Jankowicz, to lead the DHS’s “Ministry of Truth.”

You heard Obama say it loaud and clear, in plain English. "Speech must be regulated" -- and "content management" -- wow! you have to give leftists credit for being creative with the euphemism. Content management doesn't sound near as bad as censorship.

If you don't find Homeland Security creating a "Disinformation Governance Board" (Ministry of Truth) dedicated to "countering misinformation" a very scary thought, I submit that you have not read enough history or enough dystopian fiction.

The Biden administration has no credibility or authority to “prevent disinformation.” for the simple fact that they are too busy spreading it, but it's an election year and this assault on our fundamental rights is a desperate admission that they know they're in for a serious ass-whipping in the fall -- and the spectre of losing power, especially in the House is their worst nightmare.

As a result, these people are so out of control they have dropped all pretenses about anything constitutional, lawful or even fair being part of their game. The Left believes it is on the one-yard line and they need one more election to score and lock it down. They are not looking forward to 2024. It is 2022 or be pushed back 50 years -- and they know it.

This is desperation and the desperate do desperate things.

It could get worse before it gets better.
